Neil Patrick Harris to appear in 'Peter Pan Goes Wrong' Broadway cast
The Tony and Emmy Award winner will be a special guest star in the show, which plays at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, for a limited three-week run.
Tony and Emmy Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris will join the cast of Peter Pan Goes Wrong on Broadway for a limited time. He will appear from April 11-30, with the exception of the April 21 evening performance and April 22 matinee.
Harris will play the role of Francis, a member of the fictional Cornley Drama Society acting troupe. The show sees the group putting on a production of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, but they encounter mishaps at every turn.
He temporarily replaces Harry Kershaw in the role. The Peter Pan Goes Wrong cast also includes Bartley Booz as Dennis (through April 9), Matthew Cavendish as Max, Bianca Horn as Gill, Harry Kershaw as Francis, Chris Leask as Trevor, Henry Lewis as Robert, Ellie Morris as Lucy, Charlie Russell as Sandra, Jonathan Sayer as Dennis (from April 11), Henry Shields as Chris, Greg Tannahill as Jonathan, and Nancy Zamit as Annie.
Harris last appeared on Broadway in 2014, winning a Tony Award for playing Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He is also known for his extensive screen work, which has earned him five Emmy Awards. His most famous roles include Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother, Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Bryan Ryan in Glee. He has also hosted the Tony Awards multiple times, winning four of his Emmys for doing so.
Harris is the first in a series of Peter Pan Goes Wrong guest stars. Others will be announced at a later date, and some will be unannounced.
